Wellbeing Foundation Africa Restates Advocacy for PLWHA – Celebrates frontline Impact in Kwara State.

The Chief Program Officer of the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA), Mr Tajudeen Arowolo has pronounced Kwara as the only state in the north-central geopolitical zone of Nigeria, with the lowest number of HIV/AIDS cases, and one of the lowest in the country. At a four-day medical outreach organized by NACA at Oja Tuntun Boboko in Ilorin, a total number of 4,441 people were tested for HIV/AIDS. Of this number only 19 people tested positive to the virus, In comparison with the high number of cases recorded in other states within the north – central zone.
