The Wellbeing Foundation Africa (WBFA), in partnership with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), commenced the second phase of the “Improving the Availability and Quality of Maternal and Newborn Care in Kwara State” project which comes on the heels of the first phase of the comprehensive project, which comprised Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care (EmONC) competency-based training, Quality Improvement (Q.I.), and Data management, and ran from Jan 2015 to June 2016.

The Founder-President of the Wellbeing Foundation Africa, Mrs Toyin Saraki, a long-standing supporter and advocate of creative arts,  congratulated Nigerian-born artist and sculptor, Yinka Shonibare MBE, on the occasion of his Wind Sculpture VII; which has formed a central exhibit at the newly opened Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, unveiled in Washington DC by President Barack Obama on Saturday.

Toyin Saraki Awarded the Fellow of the West African Academy of Public Health

The Founder and President of the Wellbeing Foundation Africa, Mrs. Toyin Saraki was honoured yesterday as a Fellow of the Academy of Public Health (FAPH), by the West African Academy of Public Health (WAAPH) during the inauguration of the Strategic Advisory Board of the Academy in Abuja.

The Wellbeing Foundation Africa will be participating in the 71st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), in New York, from Sunday 18th September to Friday 23rd; attending the US-Africa Forum, the Education Commission, the Lancet Maternal Health Report Launch and related side events. As UNGA commenced, the Foundation's attending delegation, led by the Founder-President Her Excellency Mrs Toyin Saraki, Chief Executive Officer Stephen Sobhani and newly appointed Global Communications Manager Sagal Ali reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying it's nationwide maternal and newborn healthcare and wellbeing services in the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps in the Northeast of Nigeria, supporting frontline health workers and midwives.
