National Immunisation Programme – Free Malaria Programme
WBFA advocated for early childhood immunisation at the Ministry of Health (Kwara State) launch of the National Immunisation Programme of its Free Malaria programme for pregnant women/children under 5. The programme makes available crucial life-saving commodities such as insurance and vaccinations to the most vulnerable in society, prolonging their lives and opportunities. The aim is to encourage mothers to be health-seeking on behalf of their children and themselves.
World Immunisation Week
To commemorate World Immunisation Week, WBF joined the World Health Organisation and other MNCH to promote the benefits of immunization as one of the most successful, and cost-effective health interventions.
Maternal, Newborn & Child Health (MNCH) – UITH
WBF donated lifesaving equipment including neonatal resuscitation units, infant pulse oximeters and other key commodities.
Children’s Reception Centre - Gaa Akanbi
The WBFA renovated Gaa Akanbi by donating cots, refrigerators, and other items to improve the operations of the centre.
